Description: Come learn about infusing evidence-based SEL practices into your virtual school counseling program in this free webinar hosted by Florida School Counseling Association. Presenters Ellen Chance, Christine Abreu, and Greg Brigman will provide lots of ideas and resources to help you navigate your virtual school counseling program during this COVID-19 crisis. The presenters will share concrete examples from currently practicing school counselors for transitioning your program to distant counseling.  Specific strategies for classroom guidance, small group counseling, individual counseling, and consultation will be covered. The evidenced-based K-12 Student Success Skills curriculum for classroom and small group will be highlighted featuring crosswalks to ASCA Mindsets and Behaviors as well as CASEL’s five core SEL competencies.

Learning objectives:
1. Participants will be able to identify and use multiple resources for taking their school counseling program virtual.
2. Participants will learn and be able to apply specific tools and ideas to take their four direct services to a distance-learning format.
3. Participants will learn where to access multiple evidence-based SEL programs and how to implement the ones they find most useful.
