Florida Teacher Certification Examinations (FTCE) Revisions

The Florida Department of Education and the Evaluation Systems group of Pearson, the state’s postsecondary assessment contractor, are conducting test development meetings for the Florida Teacher Certification Examinations (FTCE) program in order to maintain professional standards and ensure alignment with state-approved education standards.

They are currently seeking Florida educators who are exemplary in their subject areas to participate in FTCE meetings and contribute to the success of one or more of the committees listed below:

  • Guidance and Counseling PK–12
  • Hearing Impaired K–12
  • School Psychologist PK-12
  • Visually Impaired K-12

Committee Meetings and Dates

Please click here to view dates for all currently scheduled FTCE meetings through 2020. Additional subject areas will be added when meetings are scheduled, and dates may be subject to change. Meetings are held in the Orlando area (or via computer).

Substitute reimbursement is available or a stipend of $250 per 8-hour meeting ($125 per 4-hour meeting). For in-person meetings, travel and meal expenses are reimbursed, and hotel accommodations provided, if necessary. Details are provided on the Florida Educator Recruitment website.

Please Note: By applying to serve you are not required to be available for all meeting dates. If you are selected to serve, you will be sent an invitation on a meeting-by-meeting basis, as needed. You will have the opportunity to accept or decline each invitation based on your availability.
