2018-2019 Emerging Leaders

Congratulations to the 2018-2019 FSCA Emerging Leaders!

Courtney Binnion– Courtney is a 2nd-year graduate student in the Counseling Education Program at USF, she will graduate in the Summer of 2019. She has been an ELA and reading teacher for 7 years; First, Fifth, and Sixth-Eighth grades. She has been happily married for 20 years and has two boys who she has watched grow into remarkable young men.

Olivia Gordon-Olivia is currently a student at Florida International University. Olivia is from the Washington, DC area and a Howard University Alumna. With a background in policy and advocacy, Olivia is excited to join her love for community and education through school counseling. Olivia enjoys swimming at Florida’s beaches, trying new foods, and exploring nature’s trails.

Lauren Malone– Lauren is a University of Tampa graduate with a B.A. in Psychology. She is currently pursuing a masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University. While earning her undergraduate degree Lauren was a nanny and fell in love with teaching and looking after children. Lauren has spent the past six years at a private middle school as a teacher at Academy Prep Center of Tampa. During this time her love for education grew even deeper, and now she is the Guidance Counselor. Originally born in Tampa, Lauren is a newlywed, proud dog owner and lover of books.

Brittany Morgado– Brittany is in her last year of the Counselor Education Program at USF, currently completing her practicum at Farnell Middle School. She spent the last 5 years working with Hillsborough County’s EPIC program helping students transition from alternative school to traditional education. When she’s not thinking about Comps she loves spending time with family and friends and falling in love with fantasy realms. The more dungeons and dragons, the better!

Dr. Laquieria Nottage– Dr. Laquieria Nottage serves as the Senior Coordinator of Secondary School Counseling Services with Polk County Public Schools. She is a graduate of Florida State University, Webster University, and Nova Southeastern University. Laquieria enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling.

Kari Rankine– Keri is in her second year of classes, pursuing a masters degree in school counseling at Florida Atlantic University. My desire to become a school counselor has been driven by my experiences as both a mother of two children, currently 12 and 14, and by my six years of experience as a substitute teacher in the public school system. I am excited about everything that I am learning on my journey and I am looking forward to embracing an impactful and rewarding future career as a school counselor.

Kimberlae Williams-Kimberlae is wife and mother who likes to have fun, is passionate about children, dedicated to the field of Education, and is a strong advocate for the School Counseling profession. She is a Professional School Counselor in Duval County. Kimberlae is the current First Coast Counseling Association President in Duval County.
