FSCA Student Scholarship

The 2019 FSCA Scholarship Competition is now open.  FSCA will award two high school scholarships for $250 each and two graduate student scholarships for $500 each.  Applications must be received by 5 PM on April 1, 2019.  All questions should be directed to the Scholarship Committee Chair: FSCAScholarship@fla-schoolcounselor.org

High School student criteria:

  • be current 12thgraders on track to graduate either during the current spring or summer; and,
  • intent to enroll in a postsecondary institution in the upcoming summer or fall following high school graduation.

The application requires a 250-500 words response to:

What would your ideal school counseling program look like? How would you want your school counselor to help you and your peers? 

Graduate level student application criteria:

  • be a current graduate student enrolled in a Florida School Counseling preparation program;
  • be enrolled as a school counseling graduate student for the next upcoming academic year; and,
  • hold a current FSCA member.

The application requires a 500-750 word response to this prompt:

Why should FSCA and its members advocate for legislation requiring or mandating 80% direct & 20% indirect services for school counselors?
