University of South Florida: Please help graduate students with your expertise by taking the COVID-19 Impacts on Implementation Survey: a 10-minute survey focusing on how COVID-19 has impacted the implementation of evidence-based substance use prevention programs in schools and the need for crisis-response planning, from the perceptions of school-based behavioral health practitioners and administrators. This evaluation is being conducted to provide researchers with a better understanding of how COVID-19 social distancing precautions have affected the implementation of evidence-based substance use prevention programs and need for crisis-response planning in schools.

SCOY Nominations

 

The Florida School Counselor Association (FSCA) Professional Recognition Committee invites school counseling professionals from around the state to make nominations for School Counselor of the Year (SCOY) and our School Counselor Advocate Awards.

County chapters of FSCA or school districts may choose to select an individual(s) for the SCOY nomination or encourage school counselors to nominate themselves for this honor.   Nominees must be working as a full-time school counselor and have completed 3 years of service by October 1, 2021. 

NOMINATIONS

If you are a first time user to the FSCA  School Counselor of the Year portal,  click on this link  to register and create a log in and make your nomination.  https://fsca.schoolcounselorawards.org/scoy/

If you are a return user to the FSCA School Counselor of the Year portal, click this link, log in with the email and password you used to set up your FSCA School Counselor of the Year portal account and start the nomination and/or application process for SCOY. https://fsca.schoolcounselorawards.org/scoy/

SCOY nominations deadline is September 10, 2021, 11:59 pm EST.

SCOY Nominee packet submission is October 10, 2021, 11:59 pm EST.

Other Awards

No portal registration or log in is needed to make a nomination for any of FSCA’s other annual awards.  Click on her on “Other Awards” to  find the instructions to nominate and submit the packet for a School Counselor Advocate Award.  Consider nominating a school counselor advocate for one of these awards:

School Counselor Advocate: School Based Administrator an administrator who demonstrates exemplary support of school counseling programs

School Counselor Advocate: School, Community, and Family a non-administrator who is an educator, school board member, or community leader who demonstrates exemplary support of school counseling

School Counselor Advocate: District Leader a district supervisor whose leadership has shown outstanding impact in the school counseling field.
