The purpose of this award is to recognize writing done
in the interest of school counseling which makes an
outstanding contribution to the profession.
ELIGIBILITY FOR CONSIDERATION:
The nominee must be either currently employed as
full-time school counselor or supervisor or be
retired from school counseling and have completed
at least three years of consecutive counseling
services.
Nominee must be a member of FSCA.
Nominee must hold a Master's Degree.
CRITERIA FOR RECOGNITION:
Writing cited for nomination shall have been
published or used to promote counseling in the
schools within the last three years.
Writing shall have practical significance for
school counselors.
The writing of the award nominee should be of the
type that has direct implications for
communication of the importance and significance
of school counseling as an integral part of the
educational process.
