By Jennifer Brady for GuidanceChannel.com

reach out to the victims of Katrina. As school counselors,
you are in key positions to offer crucial support to the
thousands of children impacted by this tragedy. Whether you
are in the battered Gulf Coast or in a school that has
opened up its doors to young, displaced evacuees, we honor
your efforts to address the mental health needs of the
students who are struggling to cope with Katrina’s
aftermath. To aid your efforts, we offer you the following
links to a variety of articles offering advice on responding
to the crisis and information on how you can get involved.
