Dr. Nancy Lucas
Mrs. Janell Leatherman designed and wrote the proposals, as
well as implemented the programs for two public schools at both
the elementary and the middle school levels recognized as ASCA
National Model Programs. Janell also has been recognized as Palm
Beach County School Board Counselor of the Year, Florida School
Counselor of the Year, as well as one of the Top Ten Finalists
for National School Counselor of the Year. Dr. Lucas has been
the principal collaborating with Mrs. Leatherman at both of
these schools. This session addresses issues and potential
roadblocks, answers questions, and provides proven strategies
and initiatives to assist counselors and principals with
developing collegial and collaborative relationships. These
ideas are designed to greatly assist in gaining support for the
design and implementation of comprehensive school counseling
programs at both the elementary and middle school levels.
